Good afternoon everyone, I am quite new to the community, I am researching my ancestors and I found a tree with quite accurate information about my great-grandfather Giovanni Battista Marconato (1883) son of Giovanni Marconato and Rosa Gaio in the following link
https://gw.geneanet.org/cplo?lang=es&n=marconato&oc=0&p=giovanni+battista+antonio&type=tree
In the tree there is date of birth and region. Is there any way to access this information? Entering Family Search I could only find the record of his sister Maria Luigia from 1881 but not the other years.
Thank you very much for your help,
Victor.

Hi Victor,
You can contact the author of that tree via https://en.geneanet.org/profil/cplo. He might have additional information. Unfortunately, it looks like none of the individuals close to your GGF in that tree has any precise location.
Without the town name, it will be very difficult to find the information considering the number of small villages.
I haven't done much research in Italy but found some records in FamilySearch (searching by catalog, since most registers are not indexed), or at http://www.archivi.beniculturali.it/.

Hi Eric, thanks for your answer. I tried to contact the author but I didnt have any answer yet.
Yes I have the town! It is Montebelluna in Treviso. Ive already searched in Familysearch and there arent pictures for 1883 births in that town. Ive found only the marriage of his parents and the birth of one of her sister.
I dont know that site you mention. I will take a look. Thanks.
Victor.

See what you can find here:

I don't know why so many years are missing for some towns. I don't speak Italian so I only half understand the records.

Thanks anyway. Ive looked and there are no records for 1883. What Ive read and understood is that there were different periods in Italy. Till 1820 they recorded in the napoleon's records. After that come a church records period. And after 1870 is the civil records period. Maybe this period isnt still digitalized
I think that maybe the author of te tree had access to the records directly.
Victor.

It varies from region to region, so there is no answer that's applicable to the entire country.
Before Napoleon, records were maintained by the Catholic church.
Under Napoleon, civil registry similar to France's was introduced. That was abolished in 1820. In 1865 (effective 1866), records were once again assigned to Civil registry.
I'm having a hard time finding anything past 1865 in any of my research.

Ok, thanks for the info.
Yes, and I think it depends on regions too. For example for other ancestors from Sicily I found a lot of Civil Records till 1904. And old periods I found a lot of church records from 1820 in the site https://www.italianparishrecords.org/
I think that unfortunately Treviso records are not digitalized yet
