I am a novice at genealogy so recommendations are very helpful. I do not speak French, so I use Google translate when required. I am Australian. But having a French 2x Grandfather who came here in 1830's has created immense curiosity in me, as ancestors date back so far in Brittany and Normandie. I visited these areas in 2019. Fabulous. There are about 1,400 descendants here, mainly in the state of South Australia.
