what defines a distant relationship or an extended relationship on Geneanet dna match results?

Thank you Jean-Yves, but the article about improvements in accuracy does not answer my question at all, not does anything on the help section of Geneanet. My question is about the criteria that determine the categories of closeness of relationship of dna matches used by Geneanet.

- Close relationship: >10% shared DNA (relationship up to the 2nd or 3rd generation)
- Extended relationship: 1-10% shared DNA (relationship between to the 4th and 6th generation)
- Distant relationship: <1% shared DNA (relationship above the 6th generation)
