Lardiere

Can anyone tell me the English language equivalent of the occupation of 'Lardiere' (relating to a female relative in this case). I've searched online French-English dictionaries, Google translate and an online list of old French occupations, but no luck. It sounds to me as though it might have something to do with pigs (!?!).
