Vance, James and Mary (Sibbett)

Attempting to find Ireland family history for my ancestors.
Oh my gosh Ireland history is so difficult. I keep hitting a closed door.
My ancestors from Northern Ireland:
James & Mary (Sibbett) Vance came to America from Northern Ireland (year ?) with 4 daughter (two died at sea) (two died early in America) and four sones: Francis, John, William and James (my ancestor born 1776 in Ireland).

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
